Who we are
MonMax (monmax.co.uk) is run by Marco and Brigette de Vries in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide how it's used and we're responsible for protecting it.

We don't collect payment details. When you buy a Launch You product, you pay Launch You directly.
Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of tools that set cookies or similar technology:
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms): measures whether our Facebook and Instagram adverts lead to signups, and helps show our adverts to people likely to find them useful.
- Google Analytics and Search Console (Google, via Site Kit): shows which pages are read and how people find the site.
- Security and caching tools (Wordfence and our caching plugin): essential for keeping the site safe and fast.
Essential cookies run automatically. Analytics and advertising cookies only run if you agree to them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
Transfers outside the UK
AWeber, Meta and Google are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. We rely on the safeguards UK law allows for these transfers, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or approved contract clauses, depending on the provider.
How long we keep it
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a suppression list, so we never email you again by mistake.
- Contact messages: deleted within 12 months of our last reply.
- Blog comments: for as long as the comment is published.
- Analytics and security logs: for the periods set by Google, Meta and our security tools, usually 14 to 26 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your data
- stop or limit how we use it, including for marketing
- transfer it to you or another organisation
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. The quickest way to stop our emails is the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each one. For anything else, email us and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Keeping it safe
The site uses an encrypted connection, a security firewall, and regular software updates. Only the two of us can access our email list and messages. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Children
MonMax is written for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and change the date below. If a change is significant, we'll tell our subscribers by email.
